This is a place where buildings speak and stories unfold.
Myth and Mastery is an ongoing exploration of how the architecture of care and structure mirror the human experience.
Through narration and quiet observation, I listen for the hidden cadences of life that take place behind the scenes; in corridors, stairwells, boiler rooms, and boardrooms where unseen workers contribute to the sacred ordinary.
Created by the resident caretaker, Myth and Mastery is a narrative podcast and written body of work that listens for the hidden life of buildings and the people who move through them, tracing the invisible labour, quiet rituals, and overlooked moments that hold the world together.
Where Structure Meets Story and where I explore how the architecture of care, routine, and the invisible work of unseen workers shape the stories we live by.
Through essays and storytelling, I trace the hidden rhythms of buildings and the lives that move within them. Blending timeless archetypes with everyday scenes, each piece opens a different way of seeing - not through interpretation alone, but through atmosphere.
Created with care, this space offers not just a pause but a vantage; a place to breathe, to listen, and to recognise the sacred ordinary that so often goes unspoken. Join me in this storytelling podcast to delve deeper into these narratives.
I have spent my life inside buildings, learning how they breathe and how they hold and release. From the boiler room to the boardroom, I’ve observed the flow of people, power, and silence, all part of the architecture of care. I stand where the invisible work becomes visible, revealing the reverent ordinary and where routine showcases its quiet rhythm. The first witness. Present, but untouched.
Myth and Mastery isn’t a confession or a curriculum. It’s simply an observatory; a narrative practice that serves as a quiet record of what passes through and who gets left behind, highlighting the unseen workers whose contributions often go unnoticed.
In most rooms, someone's in charge. This one listens first. It doesn't ask where you've been or what you do. Instead, it gathers your weight, your witness, and the things you quietly laid down, acknowledging the invisible work of the shadow workers around us. Myth and Mastery is a shared room built on stories shaped by passage and presence, reflecting the geometry of mercy and the hallowed everyday. This storytelling podcast and text captures the essence of our experiences.
Maps promise certainty; stories never do. This room sits between them where instinct meets observation, and patterns begin to surface in the architecture of care. If Myth and Mastery had a blueprint, it would trace the curve of a handrail, the turning of a clock face, the line between passage and pause. This project follows no strict route - only what the walls remember and the air allows, revealing the invisible work that surrounds us. Here, I follow what draws me: stories hidden in architecture, silence, and the lives we pass by, capturing the hallowed everyday and echoing like a storytelling podcast that honours the unseen workers among us.
Myth and Mastery isn’t a product of credentials; it’s a culmination of lived experience, quiet work, and an eye for the unnoticed, reflecting the scaffold of kindness that often goes unrecognised. What I bring is shaped by footsteps on the staircase, a locked door’s silence, and the quiet politics of who gets the window seat, highlighting the invisible work of quiet custodians. This is for what’s known but never spoken and for the ordinary made luminous, much like my storytelling podcast that illuminates these hidden narratives.
